Please understand me correctly, I'm not complaining about the rain, but how do I train or even cycle when it continually rains? I haven't got an indoor trainer or spinning bike, only have a mtb?

Liberal application of Rules #5 and #9 and stick to the tar with your oldest back tyre?  :D

There, I fixed it.

My problems tend to happen exactly because I ignore and deny that (getting old)   :D Now I'm trying for wisdom!  ;)

best price  ... https://bike-addict.co.za/products/wahoo-kickr-core-smart-trainer?variant=14035139625044

Surely would never hint or suggest to price fixing or market manipulation, but one do note that ALL outlets have the SAME price on these units .... at least Bike Addict throws in a good gift voucher.

then only a few grands worth of bits and pieces, and you will be set to ride indoor ... by which time your annual rain would have passed .....  :whistling:

failing which .... Karcher .... and a FULL service once the weather clears up ....

SO glad I bit the bullet last winter.  Having a few physio sessions now, and the IDT comes in very handy for ultra-light recovery rides

no problem ... just buy a second hand road bike to mount permanently to the trainer .... I DID say you will have to add a few grand for "bits and pieces" ...  :whistling:

Oooooh, that's EXACTLY how I do it.........in my imagination in any case.........just as well i I don't have pictures. That is such a fast and fun stretch, but halfway down I found myself scrubbing off some speed, thinking that I really don't need another broken anything right now.

Ha, yes, know what you mean, that end bit comes at you fast and you also need to watch those last few rollers, they could buck you if you don't slow hard...or double them!
