Stayed there early 80's, from what I remember, got to be allot of WOW riding. if only MTB was a in thing then. Back then it was just me and my green Raleigh.

You are SO lucky to live in George - the most amazing riding and so beautiful!

Yes that the George dam close to Saasveld, that was on the way back from Toerkop going to the tower behind Witfontein

Awesome! Brings back great memories from a break I took down there about four years back. Stayed at the last B&B on the road up to the university. Rode Saazveld nearly every day!

Me and Jimmycool did the Dargle road last week. How safe is the Notties road traffic wise on a Sunday?

We actually spoke about heading out to Dargle the next time.

The road was ok. We headed out early before too much traffic was on the road. The road from Balgowan onwards gets a little hairy with very little to no shoulder.

If you want a nice quiet ride try the Currys Post road. We head out via Midmar Dam wall, turn right at the Tweedie turn into Howick and then left up the Currys Post road at the hospital/ Corner Post Pub traffic lights. Head out on that road past Ground Cover, onto Terbodore Coffee for a great cuppa and then back.

It's a good 100km round trip PMB - Terbodore - PMB.
