We went out at 18h30 into the Raithby vineyards last night after 7 hours in TEAMS meetings.

Our proper lights are back in Johannesburg so we only had our small commuter lights but it was still a fun ride.

who be we ?

No riding for me, for a few days. I climbed off the trainer last night, and noticed my right leg was a little puffy. Thought it might have been from the tightish fitting (Sexy) socks.

Seems I may have been bitten by something, small; perhaps a spider or similar. Leg has inflammation from about legal sock height down to the ankle, or should I call it a shankle. I thought it might have been an ingrown hair, which sometimes happens after shaving, but after the inflammation I am considering it to be a little more serious.

Sterkte, G. Be proactive with that gogga bite.

Also have a floor stand... consumes 170W and keeps me cool, but irritates everyone because of the sound it makes; on the slowest speed setting.

Get a bigger fan! Started with that exact same one, moved on to a 46cm floor fan. Much better!

No, this is short-term.

However, guidance for you:

I hear that a rear fan is the best addition and bomb for 3 hour Swift rides.

Cools the back and one's boom-boom and kit.

makes you ride faster because now you have a tail wind. :)

Personally I'd prefer from the front, and high up, most of my sweat comes from my head.

But I guess everyone is different so you need to find what works for you.

The best set-up is front and back fanning, especially in Africa.

Just like a tailwind IRL.
