Woke up my Spez Tarmac and went outdoors today instead of using the IDT.

The weather is quite balmy for the middle of winter and the roads were nice and dry.

My one bottle fuelling strategy came to an emergency stop in the community of Klipheuwel, 12 kms from my home town Durbanville.

For those that may not know, the ‘red ambulance’ is the caffeinated cold drink purchase that turns a fading training effort into a 30 min tempo effort to get back home. 😇

Felt like a bit of a twist. Crazy workout, but category enforcement still needs some refinement. Legs may be a little tender for tomorrow's NYE ride.
