And that stem....

It's brilliant!
(Actually got it from @Prince Albert Cycles 😎 )

It takes the sting out of the hard knocks and don't I notice any unnecessary flex otherwise.
The 'compression dive' that many people expect isn't really an issue as the range of motion is really quite small.
They are not light, nor are they cheap.
BMC bikes are now incorporating a version of them on some of their bikes

I need to get one for my Wife's bike as well.

Arrrrgus training ....

Also left later than planned .... uhmmm ... tire pressure low.  Onto the stand and topped up the Sludge.

Around 50km I felt some spray on my leg.  Sludge spraying from the rear wheel.  By the time I stopped it had sealed, and the pressure was good.  10km later it repeated, and then again.

Think it was a piece of glass.

At Philladelphia it was time to plug the tyre.

Finally got to use a plug on my own bike .. 😋

Just an easy coffee croissant spin on the SS

After many years of riding under the belt, I still don't get the SS thing ... 🙈

But I guess if you riding and you enjoy it, who the hell am I to judge ... 🤪

It's "alternative". Except it's been around since day one. I love tech. I love the latest things, talking about the latest things and riding and racing the best I can afford. The SS, however, reintroduces, to me at least, the simplicity of riding a bike. No pondering gears, you ride what you have. Love to spin? This is tge bike for you! Love to grind? This is the bike for you!

It's just another tool for exploring the local 'burbs, or the region at large with your mates, making new ones along the way, and taking awesome snaps.
