Morning Ride

Bridge over the M3? That's a sweet link to the mountain that very few people know about. It makes my ride from work to the mountain a thousand times safer than using any of the main roads.

Yip that's it, such a treat and what a beautiful morning.

Awesome! Replace all those trees with buildings and all those fallen leaves with people and that should more or less illustrate what I have put up with every morning!

The last 5 km of my commute looks like that.  But out of the odd 36 km it is not too bad then.  I still have cycling paths on most of the roads in the city.

We have future plans to moving out of the city to a smaller town. That should add some morning beauty to my commute.

I never want to live in a city again.  Ok we live in a "Small City" if you translate from Germany directly but 20 000 population for me is a town.  We are by car 30 min away from CBD Munich and for me that is perfect.  Close enough but not too close.

That ain't Eishkom proof

No such problems yet here (yet)

A bit off topic, but a ironically SA related: Look at this map location:

https://www.google.com.my/maps/@4.1611191,100.6318529,5414m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en

That jetty's are used to load coal from ships & the black heaps include in a large part South African coal to generate electricity.

The x-Eishkom engineer that commissioned the first plant (and is back for the second) told me that that these plants generate electricity cheaper per kwh with the imported coal than what Eskom do with the same coal in SA.  :cursing:  No way for me to check that, but he was not the type of guy throwing fake news around.

Cradlemoon Lakeside Lodge....

Somewhere I vowed I'd not go back to.. but the missus asked if we could take our little one there to see the wildlife..

I'm glad I decided to listen to her..

Logan really enjoyed it... and that's all that important to me.

Someone's been putting in some serious effort... a little bit of bushwhacking required in places, but nothing serious... otherwise, great stuff.

Saturday, I went went scouting to make sure I could ride there with him if I took the bike.

The trails have never been the issue at Cradle Moon aka Heia (Heroa trails).

The owner and his behaviour is the divisive matter

Disagree.

When the takeover happened, for a while they were severely neglected and/or ripped apart.

anyway.. I'm moving on.. finding places close by to spend time with my son is more important to me.
