Replace all those trees with buildings and all those fallen leaves with people and that should more or less illustrate what I have put up with every morning!  The last 5 km of my commute looks like that. But out of the odd 36 km it is not too bad then. I still have cycling paths on most of the roads in the city. That should add some morning beauty to my commute.  I never want to live in a city again. Ok we live in a "Small City" if you translate from Germany directly but 20 000 population for me is a town. We are by car 30 min away from CBD Munich and for me that is perfect. Close enough but not too close.
