I cannot fathom why anyone in their right mind would want through headset cable routing, but a birdy told me that Titan Racing did market research and found that the average punter ( ie someone who knows nothing about bikes or fixing them) would rather buy a bike that looks more aero or neat or something and has terrible to work on cable destroying headset routing.

Thanks for nothing "average punter" and possibly the OP too.

Clearly I’m in the minority on here, but I have internal headset routing on my new cypher. I love the look, I’ve always loved the look. This is my second bike with headset routing, I know it’s much trickier to work on but the visuals make up for it.
Most people I’ve spoken to agree with me, it’s worthwhile to pay someone to deal with it if we don’t feel up to it.

And before you all come flinging rocks at me, I am a bike mechanic (not that I practice the trade).

Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication on our part, resulting in this situation. We have been in touch with the OP and offered to replace the fork and headset free of charge from our next shipment, which will support full internal cable routing.

This here is what will make me consider Titan for a next purchase. Mistake has been made. It happens. How you react afterwards is what counts. One could not ask for a better outcome for the OP.

Well done @Titan Racing Bikes for putting up your hands and taking responsibilty. As a recent member of the Titan family this is comforting to know.

Nice to see a brand to stand up like this and assist on this. Jip, mistakes can be made and it is expensive hobby we are in but it's good to see brand standing behind there name and admit it and rectifying it.

one day I want to live a life where I'm so spoiled that I can throw my toys over a cable routing

#genuinelyenvious

I get that it's a significant purchase and the internal routing conversion was a requirement for the OP and he specifically asked if it can be converted. I also get that for many (probably most) people the aesthetics of no visible cables is worth the trade offs which is why the manufacturers are making them.

But there is no doubt Titan Racing would have resolved the misunderstanding without the tantrum and they were always going to come out of this thread with their reputation enhanced.
