  5. i live on my nespresso, i must warn you though once you have one your life is ruined!!!!! you will never be able to enjoy another cup of coffee again and if you do its just not the same as your nespresso. i have the CitiZ with the frother and never have anything other than cappachino at home anymore. my little hint for the day is to put a teaspoon of vanilla essence and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar into the milk before you froth. makes a little cup of heaven
  6. get one of these... http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=72&products_id=532
  7. thats one hell of a mate!!! awesome stuff, enjoy the ride.
  8. i have ordered from them a few times as well and only ever had decent service and a great experience, 2 mistakes made and both rectified by them once i told them, before i could suggest anything else. the first mistake was on a set of bars, i ordered a set of anodized red bars( cant for the life of me remember which ones but they were a cheapy set on sale) opened the package and realized they had sent me a set of OSX Chromag's instead, i mailed them to let them know of the mistake as the OSX bars are 4 times the price of what i ordered and they came back and told me to keep them, was extremely surprised as i was willing to ship back for the correct ones. Very very impressed by that. second issue was 203mm ice tech centrelock rotor that i waited for more than a month for, mailed them and they sent me another after having completed the lost in the mail form thingy. the second they shipped by priority mail without me asking so again very happy. i am not saying they are perfect but they make me feel like they value my money spent and that's why if i want something my LBS doesn't have they get my money,
  9. future life if you believe the hype
  10. good deal, nice looking stand as well
  11. Hehehehe that's exactly the way I do it, never knew about that pin till tonight, looks like I have learnt something new.
  12. Splines look good to me, don't think the silver pin is part of the crank, I have stripped many cranks off bikes and never seen a silver pin, perhaps some shrapnel picked up when the crank arm came off on the trail. As for the build who did it? Would be worried that they didn't tighten the retaining star bolt thingy and the bolts to the correct torque. I Would perhaps drop by another shop to ask if they would be so nice as to help and quickly put it right. If not and you need some help drop me a pm ill gladly assist,I have my own way of tightening the bolts that has yet to fail me and I have built 7 bikes so far. Would give it a good clean and use a degreaser to clean up properly before using fresh grease, also use minimal grease on the splines, just enough to ensure it doesn't bind permenantly.
  13. ostrich trinchado. take ostrich cubes or cut the fillet to smaller pieces, chuck into a pot with chopped crushed rosemary and garlic with a chopped onion, small button mushrooms if you like can be added. cook until the meat starts to brown( really only about 5 min) add 1 cup white wine to deglaze and a tub of creme fresh or sour cream with a bit of chicken stock. add chiliesto taste( not required but does add to the dish if you like hot food) add salt and fresh crushed black pepper to taste. turn heat down to low and simmer for about an hour. just before serving add 1 tablespoon mazena to a little cold water to make a runny paste and add to dish to thicken the sauce. serve with fresh hot buttered ciabatta rolls.
  14. 6 bikes in the house at the moment in my house. my AM and road bikes. my Mrs MTB and Road bikes, my lighties baby bike. and my SS that i am busy building, in pieces between my house and storage locker. and to answer the question, what is the perfect number of bikes to have.... N+1
  15. especially of he is a roadie, he is not going to be used to having to select a route that could hurt, ( ok with the exeption of pothole ducking)
  16. on that go for a 26inch hardtail, you can get a good value bike for about 8ish and then upgrade things like tire and go tubeless. for a 15 year old i woulnt look at a 29 or even 650B as the 29 will be too big unless your son is large for his age and the 650b is just going to be too expensive for your budget. thats the way i would approach it anyway.
  17. while we are on the irritates me section, dont think there is anything that irks me more than a bike or frame advertised with no frikken size!!!!!
  18. Hmm I may just have to enter as I recently found a big set of brass balls that have given me some skill I did not have before, bike always out rode me but am changing that very quickly.
  19. Sean you know me well enough to know if i arrive with some tobasco, Cayenne pepper and 2 habanero chilies they will never have clear eyes again
  20. so the solution seems to be to beat 13 colors of sh*t out of him, smack that bastard so hard he is mentally incapable of using his fly to take a piss and needs the state to look after him as he is a veg. problem goes away, if anyone needs help doing it when he is caught call me ill bring some victimized friends and a hosepipe, oh perhaps a sock with a soap bar i it as well for good measure. FARK THESE OKES IRRITATE ME. sorry rant off
  21. I blame old age!!!!! In a serious note that is weird and hope you find your answer soon.
  22. Fook me that's a sexy bike, I think I just did something i shouldn't alone in my pants. Now that is what my end goal is.
  23. Hey guys, I have burning desire that I really can't explain to build a single speed with a rigid fork, only problem is the price of a rigid, almost fell over when I saw what people want for a 26" rigid. What the hell? On that note my inspiration is the niner air with a rigid fork but a 26" version. So my parts list so far is as follows: Conti mountain king 2.4 tires running on mavic 824 rims with hope pro2 evo hubs. Merida matts tfs 500 frame, 2011 sanded down and sprayed with a Matt black paint job, perhaps a few toughes of electric orange to get some pop. Shimano slx holotech cranks and 32 tooth blade, not sure about the back yet. Shimano slx brakes with 203mm rotors. A fork of some description that makes the bike look awesome, not sure what as yet as I need to find something. Xt spd peddles. And some other bits I am sure will make there way onto the bike as he build progresses.
  24. dude pick me as guinie pig please, we need this so badly in JHB its scary. think for the xc and family types a chicken run is a requirement.
