Lol and I remember when those replaced 1.44 floppies, they were awesome and cutting edge in those days.

as a stickler for facts:

Floppies were 5 1/4 inches and capacity was 360kb (when I started playing with computers) and later their capacity increased to 1.2 mb

 

Floppies were replaced by 3.5 inch stiffies. These were 720kb initially, but later on 1.44mb

 

Around the time USB disks came out a 2.88mb stiffy was available, but for obvious reasons it never took off. My first USB disk had a capacity of 16mb!

 

I used to have a old (relic) 8 inch floppy disk which I kept at my office desk, but lost it during a move
