Cost wise, because you already have a 10T, it would be cheaper this way but getting a bigger blade would be better for extra speed. Are you running a girls crank? Sorry mean compact crank.

My giant came stock with the small short crank and I like EVERYTHING to match so chucked it and went big and long..................

I've got a girls crank because I have girl power :)

 

When I was buying the bike I did lots of gear calcs and on the top end I was only losing out a small amount to the old Scott, on the climbing end it was the same. And since I hardly ever ran out of gears on the Scott (because I was just not fit/strong enough) it did not bother me.

 

I might go for a bigger blade down the line, but right now for those few times I need the extra bit a 10T will do what I need, anything faster and I have the weight to allow gravity to do the rest.
