I came to this thread to look for a bit more info on this little critter that has moved into my home and my heart. It's been less than 3 days and he's attached himself to the humans. I can't say that the cats are too pleased, but we're working on that. He just gets overexcited and wants to play but they don't see it quite like that. Our elderly Jack Russel is ok with him as long as he doesn't get into her face (which he tends to do).

This morning just before I was about to leave for work he perched himself on her bed and started weeing. Maybe a territorial move?

Nonetheless, I told him he was a naughty, naughty dog and he wagged his tail :)

My male dog wees if I inadvertantly leave him in a room and he can't immediately get to me I. E there must be an open door and it's almost like a separation anxiety or a negative attention seeking so perhaps this was not so much territorial but because you were leaving for work?

Morning guys

I'm in desperate need of help please, The wife has decided to move in a different direction in life than me. This meaning i will have to move to a flat and am in desperate need to find a loving home for my two dogs. One male (The brown one - Butch) and one female (the black one - Sammy). They are friendly, playful and loving dogs. They will lick you to death and love children as they grew up with my three kids. They however aren't fond of garden engineers as our last one use to hit them with the rack and broom. Both have been fixed, dewormed and had their injections.

I'm sorry about your predicament ScottC-M. I hope you manage to home your boys. If nobody here can help, it would probably be best to try and use an animal welfare organization to help you home them so that proper home checks can take place and they don't fall into the wrong hands. Good luck

Nine month old Nina coming back from the doctor. She had to undergo a little snip-snip.

And I (her personal driver) had the cheeck to fetch her with the farm bakkie. She wasn't too pleased with the exquisite draping on her side of the seat.784edfca2a3be80fea748ee53d3d183a.jpg

Just to report back that we have found a buddy for Rudolph, our Swiss Shepherd. She is a Siberian Husky, and we will be picking her up this weekend. :-)

Please say that it is adopted from Husky Rescue?

I would have loved it to be, but we could not find a female pup there that was not older than 9 weeks. And for Rudolph to adopt a new member into his pack and form a bond with, we thought it prudent that the new member not be an older pup that he would refuse to accept.

But there are some lovely dogs up for adoption on Husky Rescue.

I will post pics next week as soon as the new lady is in the house.

When we still had an attempt at lawn, now its woochips, which i prefer.

:D My wife tends to bring all manners of lost, abandoned and hurt animals home.......we cope well with anything from white eyes to sheep, with the exception of rabbits! They devastated the property, chewed up the garden, peeled the paint off the walls, caused serious electrical damage by chewing the wiring. How they didn't get electrocuted I simply don't know. Never again! Ever! Not even if they are halfway to the pot!
