The issue you have there is that you aren't using a LUST tyre... that almost looks like a non TR which is even more alarming. Can you pop me a DM with pics so I can help you out with some advice?

I've been using the fast track grid for about 3 months now and I've had about 6 punctures on it already, sometimes thorns and sometimes glass on the road and sometimes i have no idea the cause. Interested in trying vittoria saguaro next. just some food for thought

Vittoria Barzo up front

Vittoria Sugaro rear

thank me later

Had Sagauro on the front and back and have gotten just short of 4000km’s out of them. My front wheel is still good for a bit longer so I have moved it to the back and have put a Barzo 29x2.35 on the front. Interested to see how much better the grip is this weekend in the fairtree contour event...

I know these are too old (1+ year) and the mileage is too high (10,000+ km) but they still have a bit of tread left so I can't get it over my heart to chuck them just yet. Sadly is seems that being used 6 days a week is causing the outer rubber to disintegrate and I now have these two "splits" that go through to the inner weaving. I covered it with superglue, seems to be better now.

What the the designed lifespan for tubeless tires?

Getting close to doing that again. Continental that has been on this bike since I got it in September 2020. It has seen 2x Argus and 3x DBX. Out lasting many other riders that had flats on the last one with all the thorns. Nearing 9000km.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a super fast tyre for a wide rim for a jeep track endurance ride.

I currently have Maxxis Ikon 2.2 but the 30mm wide internal rim width makes the tyre profile  very square and it feels like riding through thick mud

Maybe try a Maxxis Aspen 2.4. The wider casing should work well with your rims and it’s essentially a semi-slick tire. It’s the next fastest after the ikon I would say. Otherwise ikon in 2.35 but the 120tpi version.

A quick wash in the dish washer and they are good for another 5000km!

That tyre is held together with a 3cm thick layer of dried out stans on the inside.

Could well be. Couple of months ago the bike had a terrible wobble after taking it in for a full service (I got lazy). Turns out they used some weird sealant topup that mixed with whatever was still in the tyre and it caused a massive rubber blob to form on the inside of that tire.
