I honestly don't think the Stage is that crazy expensive if you compare it against the other to end models of the other brands.

Look at the new Cannondale Scalpel SL. Consider the same groups set configured on both, and then look a the price.

Awful comparison. Two very, very different bikes.

The one is intended to rip up a stage race (if it doesn't break into pieces) and the other one is intended to rip your face off.

Stage Max vs Following or Stage vs Following?

I suppose either way it's all in the geometry and about R20k on the frame.

Haven't ridden either so I'd be talking out my ass.  Which is par for the course on this esteemed site, but still.

Alrighty then *SMK*  :whistling:

Anyone know why the frames crack? This is not the first 110 cracked frame I've seen. They all cracked in the same place too.

I live in the US and am paranoid about my 110 frame cracking as there is no Pyga representation out here, as far as I know, and dread the hassle of dealing with customs, freight costs etc to warranty a frame. On the plus side, I think I'm the only Pyga rider out here  :D  It always get looks and positive comments

I have seen 2 broken frames, further up than this photo. Both frames broke because the tube wall was thinner on one side. That's a real problem because it means that there is an issue with the material supplier's quality IMHO. Not a stat you will get any bike manufacturer to reveal, but how many as a percentage of frames sold break like this across the range of manufacturers? Cracked frames on Giant Anthems pop up on this forum at regular intervals as well. Not great if you are looking to buy or sell 2nd hand.

Sure you're not seeing the same picture going round? ;)

Jokes aside, how many have you seen?

The guy in photo has cracked 1 before at the same place, the above frame was a warranty replacement.

Known issue?

Appears to be an internally routed dropper cable. Where does the cable enter the frame?

I don't know hey, look again seems the cable tie under seat collar holds down the externally routed dropper?

I agree, and I'm pretty sure you can see the external dropper cable on the left side of the post. So it can't be that. Hopefully not a known production issue.

Lucky for me I don't ride hard enough to put any frames in jeopardy.

You'd be surprised at how many frames crack whilst "just riding along a dirt road"

Hahaha. It's true. Must be the same guys who take loads of KOMs even though they were "just riding along".
