Have to cut my week short due to a little trip this weekend with no access to a bike.

So this week was only 5 day, Monday to Friday, but I ramped intensity up so managed 964

If I take my "last 7 days" it's 1442

Now I'm tired and have 2 days off :)

Blikskottel dude

I put in a pretty hectic week last week and managed 838 and that's the best I've ever done ..... will rest a 'bit' this week  :whistling:

I've just signed up for a training peaks trial - I don't have a power meter - so not sure if the data is useful without one... so mine are heart rate TSS. Still trying to figure out how to read the graphs etc.

Here are my last few weeks TSS

961.6

822.0

757.0

876.2

1139.3

I don't know what they mean. Also this last week was a bit of a rest week... but I did back to back 5 hours on the weekend...

Those are some really big weeks. 1139.3 is deffinatly not a rest week, rest weeks should be around 500.

I had a fairly easy week with some tempo and a few intervals plus a race on the weekend TSS was 615.6

Oops I see it wasn't as much as a rest week as I thought. I normally measure on hours and I thought I'd come out much lower. I took 3 full rest days, so I assumed it would be less. My legs felt awesome this weekend for the rest though! I've only got a few more big weeks left and then I need to figure out what kind of taper I should do. Rather scary figuring out what is enough and what is too much...

Last week was 1315 - but I am missing a couple of rides from that because my road bike does not have a PM on - it's on the trainer permanently.

Does anyone know how to automatically send from garmin connect to training peaks? where do I set this up in GC - for the life of me I can't find that page, but I remember I did set up the link to Strava - which works pretty well.

Log onto Garmin Connect, select Settings then Account Information and you'll be able to add your Training Peaks account

OK - that helped a lot - has to be done from the TP side requesting, then it just shows in gc that tTP has permission to read the info.

Thanks

So it turns out these numbers were wrong. I let training peaks set my threshold and it under estimated it. I changed it to my LTHR from an FTP I did in September and then recalculated all my workouts...

762.4

872.9

740.5

624.1

555.0

589.4

769.1

Those are still good numbers though.

Just remember it's not always about big TSS numbers, but the very important resting too!

This weekend is a race and I probably won't do more than 300 combined up until Saturday.

Especially seeing I'm over 40. I will admit to being a little disappointed to see the numbers drop! Hehe but I checked my CTL ramp rate and it looks good 7,9 for the last 7 days. Feeling good about my training. So grateful for this forum, learnt so much in the last few days!

I don't normally check my weekly TSS And IF

How do you calculate your weekly TSS and IF totals if your training software does not automatically calculate it on a weekly / monthly basis from your training logs?

I assume you just add up each rides TSS and IF for the week?

Thought i had a good week last week doing some climb challenges on the CVT indoor program but adding up everything only got:

382 and  6.12

Only one was a hard effort 100.7 / 0.79 and the rest were all endurance and recovery level

So puts the scores i see posted here in perspective, you lot train hard

been taking it easy for the last two weeks, i felt a bit drained after 70.3

401 & 408 respectively.

numbers should stay in same range range for the next few weeks as I training for 2 Oceans and scores for running are a bit lower compared to cycling.
