Shocking incident between van driver and cyclists in Camps Bay

Every ride on public roads for the next few months is going to be an exercise in patience and PR, for the good of all. We just have to accept there be many angry and frustrated motorists. Who's right or wrong or morally on the high ground is irrelevant. All we can do is lead by example on the roads now. Just hold yourself back people. Channel the anger into an interval or 2 when the conditions allow it. And just thank every single motorist for any small thing they do. A little PR now could go a long way.

Wow, according to the traffic laws, listening to music with an earpiece is illegal while cycling ???

Not only illegal but extremely stupid to do too, on the road. And for the self proclaimed REAL cyclists amongst us, stupid there too,

A real Brain Dead exercise.

In the first few seconds of the video you can see the driver lashing out at the cyclists.

I'm pretty sure he did or said something to get them going, people don't react like that for fun.

I don't condone the mob mentality but I do think that driver lit the fuse and deserved what he got.

Unfortunately this will put cyclists in a negative light.

I don't think banning the cyclist and/or club would be a fair move until the TRUTH is known.

Maybe he should just take that as his fine for double parking seeing as the cops will never fine him or do anything about it.

Enough is enough everyone seems to have a word to say about this incident and they know nothing about it. As for Simon Scott he only have less than 1min of tape, Do he really know what happened? He claim the van was double parked this show me how little he know about what really happened.

So Zakkie use this as an oppertunity to inform us of what had happened, if you remain silent we only hear one side of the story.

Ok. You win.

Dunno what. Maybe a rotten banana.

There's some garbage here, but yours is at the top of the pile at the moment.

You're kidding right? For "lashing out"/swearing/zapping you now deserve to be beaten with a bicycle and fists and pepper sprayed... Sure buddy. This mentality will make this angry and vigilante-obsessed problem never-ending.

Look closely and U see a couple of youngsters in the clip, 1or2 of them was stuck by objects that was thrown from the van,yes the guys in the van still had a good time about it and there was about 6 or 7 of them in the van. Question: what if one of the youngsters fell and a car hit him? What if a cyclist got hurt because of the stupidity of the van driver and his buddies what then? Yes I was much closer than Simon and know what really happened

Help me out here, how is saying the driver deserved what he got NOT condoning the mob mentality?

I am also trying to figure this one out

Unless you go for a lobotomy I doubt you'll figure it out.
