"It was long ago and far away and so much better than it is today"

Now who remembers where those lyrics come from - a larger than life character with an album released in the late 70's that certainly shaped my musical taste.  I felt like a rebel listening to it

That is one of Vetseun's songs best songs  :whistling:  :whistling:  :whistling:

Anyone that has taken his girlfriend to a drive-inn will know what Paradise by the Dashboard Light means :D

Just polished a pair of walking boots to take on hols with us tonight. Can't remember the last time I had to polish shoes or boots!

My 5 year old laaitie insists on brushing his school shoes once a week, or when they are scuffed. Good boy, son. Good boy.

EDIT TO ADD: We use a tin of Kiwi polish which was bought in South Africa and came over with us, long before Sonny Boy was born. Kinda weird, I guess.

Good..we also use Kiwi polish and our shoes are polished every day, my dad had a thing about our shoes and polish and shiny after every use...it kinda stuck.

Love Dubbin.

Used to use it on my baseball mitts and now use it on my commuters saddle and my "vellies".

It was the great weekly honour to take the Super Springbok match ball home on Friday night before the Saturday game to Dubbin it!

Everyone got a chance somewhere between Sub B and std.5.

I should dig out those shorts again. Wifey wasn't very fond of them.

So why did she wear them ( joke ?? ). Reminds me of all those mothers that wore their son's rugby jersey at every occasion.
