Scotty P Posted August 27, 2014 Share Hi guys, spotted this bike at Ballito Junction last night. Guy claims he bought it. Seemed like a decent enough chap, so could be true. Was a bit suspicious as he was in overalls, and his 'briefcase' was a plastic bag. Said he had a cool bike & asked if I could take a photo. All I could really see in the dark was that it was a Diamondback......... Edited August 27, 2014 by Scotty P Ed-Zulu

Scotty P Posted August 27, 2014 Share I'm just waiting for the day some nosy tosser comes up to me and asks me where I got my bike from.......just because I don't "look the part". I'm sure if some "nosey tosser" approached you in the right manner, it would sit a little better. All I'm trying to do is get it out there, just in case. Also, if your bike is ever stolen, heaven forbid, maybe some 'nosey tosser", with good intentions, could reunite you with it........#justsaying Sepia, Ed-Zulu, Sidekick Racer and 5 others

I wonder what the part is meant to look like? Someone does it to me he will be wearing my bike around his ears as an ornament.Friggen prima donnas
patches Posted August 27, 2014 Share I've seen Diamondback 29er hardtails and dual sussers like the one in question, for sale at Makro. So literally a "Makro Bike" Chances are it is probably his. That said, not all Diamondbacks are 'Makro Bikes', and if he was rolling on one of these I too would be very suspiscious http://www.bikemastertool.com/media/bikes/4822/xlarge/DB_15_MissionPro_27.5_RocketRed_Profile.jpg?1396914894 http://www.bikemastertool.com/media/bikes/4465/xlarge/DB_14_Scapegoat_Blue_Profile.jpg?1386729825 http://www.bikemastertool.com/media/bikes/3269/xlarge/DB_14_Sortie29_Black_Profile.jpg?1374271589 Mountain-Goat

Pikey Posted August 27, 2014 Share My wife had her bike half inched and I wish some "nosey tosser" had asked the same question to the thieving swine who took her bike. Would it really be that offensive if the Persons intentions were genuine ? Really? Abercrombie, slowashell, Scotty P and 1 other
Abercrombie Posted August 27, 2014 Share Guys, in all honesty I think you're giving Scotty a hard time. If it had been a Specialised, Scott or whatever would you had felt different. He simply posted a picture, didn't have the guy arrested, beat up etc. A while back a very good deed was done when a Hubber spotted a bike at a garage and turns out the bike was stolen. Then everybody applauded him as the owner had thankfully got his pride and joy back. It seems you're damned if you do, damned if you don't report what you perceive as suspicious. Give the guy a break, he merely enquired if it looked dodgy. If my bike was stolen and I knew of somebody who saw and suspected it was stolen I'd be pretty livid. So do we now refrain from posting anything we may perceive as suspicious out of fear of offending anybody? Give the amount of postings we see about stolen bikes I think its brilliant that someone cares enought to query the possible origins of a bike. Maybe if more people kept an eye out of what is happening re all the stolen bikes we could make a small difference. nonky, Patchelicious, Ed-Zulu and 3 others
Maniax Posted August 27, 2014 Share Thanks Scotty. With the rampage of bike snatching/hijacking/stealing going on here in CT, we need more people that are willing to be nosy tossers. nonky, Patchelicious, Abercrombie and 2 others
Mr Legs Posted August 27, 2014 Share Saw a chap soling on a tandem near our factory. Was suspicious, but my doubts disappeared when he got to the traffic light and did a 30 second plus track stand, waiting for the light to change. nickc, Scotty P, Fisan and 1 other
