Same here, on a 230 with HR strap and 45, with the weirdest being very high spikes and then suddenly it drops back to normal, especially at the beginning or runs and it is NOT cold here anymore.  I was even contemplating if my software updates buggered it up

Of the two the optical seems the worst.

I've been getting very erratic HR readings lately (Garmin Forerunner 235 wrist HR). Quite irritating.

Has massive jumps too during tempo or intervals.

Sigh... Its not great

https://www.timeslive.co.za/sport/2020-11-10-sas-top-black-female-100m-sprinter-banned-after-failing-dope-test/

Pretoria-based Tebogo Mamathu‚ who became SA’s second-fastest 100m runner when she went 11.04sec last year‚ was caught in an out-of-competition test conducted in February.

The only SA sprinter to have gone faster was Carina Horn‚ who clocked 10.98 in 2018 but was banned herself after failing a drug test last year.

Distance runner Ben Matiso‚ who ended 12th in the 2015 Comrades Marathon‚ tested positive for exogeneous‚ or synthetic‚ steroids when finishing second in the Cape Peninsula marathon in Cape Town‚ also in February.

Shocking.

There is no doubt a significant amount of doping going on. And at the same time there is very little testing going on.

The person has a point in relation to the article he's linking to though.. There was no need to say she was black. But anyway... I'm not going down that rabbit hole!

I also have this issue. With a LOT coverage and reporting.

On this site the flippant use of the terms 'them' and 'they' and 'us' as well.... I have been flamed unceremoniously for going down that road before.

It seems derision and division still doesn't see labels as being part of the problem

Can't stand it when people walking their dogs can't control them. When the dog chases me and yaps away at my legs and the owner does nothing to reprimand their dog. Not impressed.

I hate it as well, got bitten on the spruit earlier this year, have told a few dog owners they are too stupid to be allowed to have dogs and I hope they haven't had kids. Usually gets a good reaction.

We have been living on the farm the last few weeks with work from home being stretched. been so nice running around fields and rural dirt roads. No people, no dogs, no cyclists

Ah yes. Wonder if the lady with the B seeding that didn’t make the first cut off was one of them. Or the gentleman that ran faster splits in the last 20(?) km’s than the actual winner that started off averaging more than seven minutes per kilometer? Still cannot fathom why you would want to cheat like that [emoji2363]

Edit: Went delving into my Facebook history and then Comrades historical results. The gentleman mentioned above has indeed been disqualified [emoji1419]

Jaaslaaik, of all stupid things to do, I had a slowish MTB tumble yesterday. Knee swollen to upper leg size - cannot even see my knee cap. Fortunately not thaaat much pain, so hopefully no major issues. Have a 16h appointment to get it treated.

But I strongly suspect I've fallen myself out of this weekend's UTCT.

Ag no SeaBee. Really hope that's not the case. Are you entered in for the 50km, Relay or 25km?
