got klapped by the curse of pushing too hard, managed to get a solid plantar fascitis session going on left foot....

Can I keep cycling without hurting it further?

Don't really feel like swimming seeing as I already have to paddle through winter......

Never cycled while i had PF so can't speak of 1st hand experience but Prof Google reckons:

Even though cycling does not necessarily cause plantar fasciitis, the activity of cycling can make the symptoms worse.

And then to contradict it, a friend of mine had a tear in her PF, could not run for months at all, but did a lot of stationary riding at that stage. I can imagine that doing MTB will put some strain on this.

Woke up yesterday with a sinus infection. Dont really want to take of time so close to Comrades, but forced myself not to run.

Any miracle cures?

That time of the year.... If you don't take medicine it will take about 7 days to clear. With medicine about a week.

I had a sinus infection beginning of last week. I kept my runs short and slow on Monday to Thursday. Cleared up good enough by Friday, only to evolve into severe toothache. Started the 30km run on Satarday with the toothache. I don't know if it is the endorphins, but toothache was gone during the entire run (felt it again afterwards though). Same for Sunday's 21km... But those two runs through Johannesburg was some of the most enjoyable running I've done so far this year. I really miss running in Joburg...

I’ve had PF on numerous occasions. Cycling (IDT) has always saved me. If you have issues on the trainer, consider temporarily moving your cleats back a bit.

Aaah the pains of May. I used to take 500mg of ascorbic acid every day.... An orange a day... And a zinc capsule until comrades. Prepare your family to know that you will be grumpy while you taper as well

+1 for hopping on your IDT. Plantar is a notoriously difficult injury to heal, but you’ll know if it’s regressing (red hot poker) plus cycling will help maintain cardiovascular fitness.
