Wahoo Kickr Owners

Hi guys,

Too much to read through, but I'm very interested in getting the CORE. But I've read many horror stories on other message boards and this

and am now second guessing my choice. I dearly want to go Wahoo because of the local support (but Bicyclepower does that too). However, their trainer is noisy.

Who has one? Does it work properly? How often must you replace ****?

Have had the core for about 2 months now.  No issues at all so far, currently use it twice a week for structured workouts with long rides at weekends.

Very quiet, only really hear the drive train.  Very happy with the core having come from first a cycleops powersync, then magnus (both wheel on) and now the core

So safe to assume I don't need the spacer for a 12 speed cassette?

But you will need that special freehub - X-drive thingy

Do you need a cadence sensor for any functionality to work or to use in Zwift? I want to use a second bike on my Kickr, but I would need to get a second cadence sensor

I don't use Zwift so can't comment on the functionality thereof.  But the wahoo cadence sensor that comes with the Kickr attaches to your shoe.  So there's no problem with using multiple bikes.

No. Zwift will take everything it needs paired from your Kikr

Shoe? Mine is on my bike. Didn’t realise it could go on the shoe. Brilliant

The cadence sensor comes with "three" mounts. One is the silicone strap that you can attach with cable ties to your crank. The second is the plastic clip in mount that fits on your shoe and lastly double sided tape.

I wanted a clean look so I used the double sided tape. The second bike is for my wife, so would be a bit more effort to switch between shoes anyway

Hi Guys.. just ordered the Kickr 4 for the coming winter months, think it will be delivered by Thursday. Quick question. How much effort is it to switch from the quick release to through axle adapter? My wife and I will both be using the Kickr probably 3-4 days per week during the winter. Her bike is quick release and mine through axle. I'd probably be on the Kickr early mornings from 05:00 to 07:00, and she'll probably get on at around 08:00. Is it something that's going to drive me up the walls changing every day?
