Hopefully with the next update riders can choose any course

Ja I gotta say I'm not a fan of this forced schedule thing. There are ways and means to hack it, but it's still a schlep.

Sometimes the course is very full, and while it's virtual and poses no real issue other than an aesthetic one, it'd be nicer to be a bit more 'eensaam' at times. not tried the virtual hack, but will in due course. be nice to force that and do a group ride in a less congested virtual environment

Quick question:

Will Zwift work on a laptop with Windows 7 OS?

Thanks

Thanks, should be ok then as i believe its 64bit

Guess i just have to try it

So....

After checking the requirements and found my Win 7 laptop seems to meet the minimum requirements I installed it.

However, after i login i get a welcome screen with a "Lets Go" button on the lower right, after clicking this it goes to a "Lets Get Started" screen for a few seconds and then the whole Zwift disappears.

Any suggestions?

Opened a ticket with them and sent the LT specs to them, waiting for a human response

Is the TACX Flux Smart Trainer a good IDT to use with Zwift?

Is it good to use for Zwift - Yes

Is it a good smart trainer - debatable. Lot's of people have had issues with the Flux.

The Flux will work perfectly! I had one...until I had to return it! Suspect the belt cam off inside. Apparently a problem they are well aware off but was seemingly fixed with the latest models. In my case I made an arrangement and got myself the Tacx Neo..what a machine! Perfect! Best I ever had! Unfortunately it is pricey and outside the price range many people are willing to pay for an indoor trainer.

Yeah both the Wahoo Kickr and Tacx Neo makes quite a dent to your pocket. Look the Flux is brilliant and I enjoyed training on it. It is just a fact that they had some hardware issues. However they will honour the warranty no problem. Not knowing your budget limit I can also recommend the Bushido Smart. My wife has literally cycled 1000km's on hers and not a single issue to report. Sure it is not a flywheel and requires a tire on trainer. Yes you sacrifice the quietness you get by buying a flywheel trainer, but it is a good quality trainer. You also need to know, the cheaper the trainer the less resistance you get. The Neo easily does 10% and up gradients whilst th3 Flux and Bushido will take you to around 7% I think. Still enough for most people. The bottom line is in order to use Zwift, you will need a Smart Trainer. Preferably one that can do ANT+ and Bluetooth. Zwift Supports both.
