I have noticed with the various canyon models like the strive for example they say moderate jumps pose no problem, northshore sections should be avoided.

The neuron - occassional jumps to a max of 60cm

Is this std with any manufacturer? as I have not come across this before.

Yes. Standard. They HAVE to, in order to cover their arses against those stupid litigious freaks in the states.

AAh, I see, so you can still shred their 140mm bikes?

Is why their prices are competitive as they buy in bulk and you buy what you see.  If you want to change wheels, bars or groupset, just buy as is, sell off the stuff you don't want and replace with stuff you do want.

Does Canyon allow any customisation of their builds? i.e. changing wheels, bars, etc.?

Chat to them online and find out. I wanted to change the handle bar but he did advise that it is possible but it would delay my order. Not sure if this has changed recently.

Correct you will have to call them or do online chat. Chatted with the Canyon france guys and they said they would not advertise certain campagnolo road options but would be available on demand through call centre.

Still like that and the delay is about 3 days.

Mine arrived pretty much the morning I got sick. Was very frustrating to just watch, but just could not get my body on a bike.

Had a small fight with customs to convince them it fall in the 'racing bike' category, instead of 'other'... difference is 25% import tax vs 0%, so was willing to delay/argument about it.

End up paying just the 6%GST, which frustratingly fall away Wednesday- was an election promise of the new government. If I only waited, but a month no one expected them to win :)c80003a759ad7688a6f43a22a927891e.jpg10832f3bc19e5ff03d7d551ff60fb22b.jpg
