His contract with TDD/NTT ends 2020, so my guess is he's going nowhere.

Thanks, just wondered as his name is not mentioned in the article posted today regarding the NTT renewals.

I would think at a MUCH reduced rate.

I Think he signed 2/3 year dela when coming back to TDD so this is not a new deal.

2yr deal which ran out this year and signed for 2020 which is a new deal compared to previous 2yrs.

Think he needs to get cozy at DD while they still willing to give him a contract. Don't think there will be teams lining up to sign him

Does he at least make the cut off time in the climbing stages at the Vuelta?

When you realise you're wearing the number 1 bib on the team but you're only the third best DD rider on GC over an hour behind a man with a name nobody can pronounce....

Great interview and insights with Gilbert on Steephill.tv after the stage yesterday - very articulate, even Wiggins shut up and listened on what was regarded as one of the most extraordinary stages in a grand tour.

He spoke of the team culture and confidence at DQS - a team packed with talent which goes out to win every race they pitch up for.

DDD is packed with talent - but the winning culture and confidence are nowhere.

Hard work, technique and talent at that level are non-negotiable, but it seems to me confidence is the deciding factor in winning.

Hopefully the new performance coach at DDD and the rest of the team management and riders can build the winning culture - for that they need to shed people like Cavendish and tap people like Gasparotto.

(Pogacar when asked what family background he had - "we work hard")

So... Cavendish made top 10 at the Tour of Britain today.. he seems to be peaking a bit late for July

That's because there were no hills
