Hopefully Main Cheese puts in a good effort today. Don't think there is a 100m stretch of flat on the entire Vuelta stage today

Maincheese has never been a TT specialist. Today's TT is rolly at best. I expect Maincheese to lose a few places on the GC today...

The key for the pure climbers will be to limit their losses as much as possible, most obviously to Roglic, who won a time trial of similar length in San Marino at the Giro d'Italia. Richard Carapaz lost 1-55 that day, Esteban Chaves more than three minutes and Miguel Angel López the thick end of four.

Ben O'Connor was up the road yesterday chasing Soler before he blew like a 15 year old boy at Mavericks.

That stage was crazy! He was in second place going onto the gravel 4.5km from the finish and finished in 23rd, 4 minutes back!

The ITT tomorrow is going to suit Roglic and the other big engines. We will likely see another name in Red. I can't see NQ holding 7 seconds.

I am super interested to see how Pogacar goes... He looks to be a phenomenally astute bike racer for a 20 year old. Or any age. He is also the Slovenian nation TT champ.....

Apparently that is the first time he's been in a break in a World Tour race. Honestly, how can you create riders racers with out them actually racing. He's 23 years old. Surely he should be getting away and racing a bit, same with main cheese. Just go ride and race a bit.

No bonus Hub Points for whoever called this:

Rolf Aldag to leave Team Dimension Data at the end of the season. Details: https://bit.ly/2kl28qa

Yeah, he nailed his colours to the post with his comments around the Tour / Cav' non selection. and there were strong rumors that he was quitting then. Wonder if he'll follow Cavendish to BM next year? Apparently his kids go to school in CT and he loves SA.

"Team Principal, Doug Ryder said: “Rolf’s wide knowledge of the sport, which he was always willing to share, his skilled engagement with our partners and the implementation of systems and structures together with his belief in the core ideal of the team – in that we are changing lives through bicycles – sees him depart as a valued member of our team’s story."

Now that is a lot of corporate waffle from DR. Not much warm and fuzzy there.

His win in stage 3 of tour of the alps 2018 not counting as racing then? Edited by Cheese

Indeed. First if a few would be my guess.

Nobody wants to be involved in what is rapidly becoming the damp squid team of the Pro Tour.

Maybe those that have made it such should leave...
