The inrng article was spot on. Sky own the team not just the rights so a new sponsor needs to, theoretically, buy the team and the sponsor it. From now to July isn't long looking at other teams and their struggles to secure a headline partners and those riders not on long term contracts, staff and the rest will be trying to beat the punch and get a job secured incase it does fold and there is a flood of rider, support staff and the rest making it difficult.

None of the key players are going to struggle to find new gigs and I'm sure Davy B will be doing all he can to save the Sky train as British Cycling aren't going to welcome him back after the recent reviews, inquiries, arbitrations, missing computers and jiffy bags. Other teams don't have the budget to let the management have a free reign to the same extent. The team sky budget was minuscule compared to the Marketing, PR and Sponsorship allocations at the Parent Company and the story / returns were good. First British Winner, perceived clean team, majority british team, involvement in and from British cycling and the track success, loads of wins, huge boost for the sport in the country and more. Now that has all settled in, they are expected to win, they are derided for winning and that perception has started to become a bit of a negative in the pitch. There are not many 1st's left to buy into.

It was rumoured that in 2016 Katusha were one of the closest teams in terms of budgets and looking at their records the money was better spent with Sky for sure so their structure, plans and procedures are gold dust if you have the money to burn in Pro cycling. TBH I'm not sure Dave B would like to carry on shackled by normal constraints of a standard team but then again he likes being an underdog and sticking it to the rest of the 'traditional' cycling fraternity each time they smell blood. I'd see him heading to somewhere like the US to resurrect American cycling from the bottom up like he did in the UK and Svengali it in his inimitable way.

I am just scared watching a yellow train at le Tour. That logo is hard to make sexy

speaking of hard, and just to clarify we're not talking about the poached eggs she made the morning after.

No no, apparently winning isn’t sexy or cool. Being flamboyant is the only thing that is, even when you eat dodgy steaks.

look, we all know its got nothing to do with that. If you look cool on a bike then you can taek what you like.

When you look uncool then every drop you injest is measured
