droo Posted January 8, 2019 Share Definitely won't fit Jeffsy You can't even fit one (normal) waterbottle in a Jeffsy, two would be ambitious at best... Wannabe Posted January 8, 2019 Share Hope it fits Was in contact with Dale and he said my Spark would accommodate 2 x 500ml He sent me a photo with a 650ml front, 500ml rear in exactly the same frame I have, so I trust it will fit. Sepia Posted January 14, 2019 Share Any idea on a clamp to use on the rail?I feel on a 500mm rail, clamps are definitely needed.Cable ties, hose clamp? I ask this because the supplier does not have any. Wannabe Posted January 14, 2019 Share Amongst my drama, I got to fit these on Saturday afternoon. Was a bit of a fiddly operation, but I got it fitted after a bit of trial and error.Refused to let other people prevent me from doing what I enjoy, so I took it for a test ride on the TGMTB trails yesterday.Works flawlessly, I'm very impressed. WaynejG Posted January 14, 2019 Share Agree it is a bit of a fiddly operation trying this and then that. Must of had mine on and off about 3 or 4 times. But works a charm though. DieselnDust Posted January 14, 2019 Share Doesn't work on all frame sizes I'm afraid .Design appears optimised for size medium (some frames) and bigger Link to comment https://forum.bikehub.co.za/topic/179987-lyne-products-the-holy-rail-thread/page/4/#findComment-3441315 Share on other sites
Sepia Posted January 14, 2019 Share Tried this thing on my bike and no way will it hold its own long term on two bolts. My rail does not sit flush because of the frame i have so this weakens the set-up. Wonderful if you have only one bottle holder and now you have two but I would be very careful of getting this if you are not 100% sure of the fit. It is just not worth it for an extra bottle if you already have two because the extra weight might bust the system. Think before you buy. This is not the magic wand for what it is worth IMHO. At your LBS and LBS's near you and see if it will work. Otherwise keep following this thread. Christie Posted January 16, 2019 Share Cool product! Things I wonder about: Can the frame rivnuts handle the loads? (Ive had some rivnut failures before, those rivnuts did not look very robust.) Secondly, can the bolts handle the load? Some stainless or alu cage bolts are weak, esp those smaller M4 ones. Im just wondering because if you fit 2x full bottles, plus a tooklit to a point that was designed wo carry less than half the load, something might give? Just a first order check, nothing big.... Christie Posted January 16, 2019 Share ^ Can do, wil cost ZAR, though ... for +/-R30k Have to lease a software license etc. (Not Dytran, no need to involve Mr. Euler here) Edited January 16, 2019 by Christie Vetplant 1 Link to comment https://forum.bikehub.co.za/topic/179987-lyne-products-the-holy-rail-thread/page/4/#findComment-3442805 Share on other sites
