Open letter to that person...

that did that thing to me or my friends back at that time which was a thing. I hope you read this as it effected me and now I'm sharing to validate my feelings and allow a cathartic release despite the person not actually living here or being a cyclist. Know that it was special / against my morals / dangerous / awesome

Just know that I:

- respect you

- love you

- hate you

- feel sorry for you

- don't think about you
- had coffee with you

- am you

- want your number so I can txt you cos I can't find you on tinder

- other

(delete as applicable depending which person you are and when you entered my world)

Thanks / Cheers / Regards

There is relevance to this.

Sometimes one needs to engage the brain. Maybe look beyond the post. Look at what the post is trying to achieve.

The one this morning, while aimed at one cyclist was a great reminder that while we think the lights we have on our bikes are enough, we could always do with more.

I've kind of been waiting for this post..... In a sarcastic, spiteful way it's quite funny.

I have learned to live and let live (mostly) but it doesn't make me snigger less to myself.

As much as I do believe guys should be made aware/reminded that lights and reflective clothes while riding in the dark are mandatory and not a hindrance, I don't think a 'he did this and I did that and he did this and I did that and I was offended' post is constructive.

Rather go with 'Guys, just a reminder that lights and reflectors will save your life and going stealth on the roads can and will result in your death'...

But then I'm not particularly in tune with todays social agenda so meh.... (I have learned to say 'Meh')

Edit: I see Slowbee beat me too it... albeit a tad more user friendly

true. Maybe it would have served its purpose better if directed to Dear Cycling Buddies, and structured as a general good practice guide rather than targeting some anonymous person.

That takes effort and maybe even a sprinkling of intellect.
