Slight hijack...where does one get liner shorts with a pad from, without selling a kidney?

Decathlon used to sell but have discontinued. And Takealot have Endura at over R1500!

My 2c is that Indola has really good padding BUT it is not removable and they don't have a press stud at the top of the zip so the zip is vulnerable. Mine has basically packed up - it keeps popping.

Cape Storm baggies are ok but padding useless but luckily removable so it got chucked and I wear them over bib or shorts.

Out of interest, what is the attraction here?

From my experience with Fox they have a large range catering for various disciplines of the sport. I use to race motocross years ago and the Fox brand was always great quality which i now see with the MTB baggies. Trust me they a durable and last (I've got baggies that are over 6 years old and still look and feel great). The only thing IMO is the chamois that you get with the baggies is not a long distance liner and really can only be used for 2-3 hour rides.

My favourite baggies to date: Westpeak.

They are fitted (as I'm a shorter rider) and colour still perfect after a year's usage - compared to my ION baggies.

Local guys, and very affordable.

Only downside for the OP, you need to use a bib underneath. Suits me perfect as I use my older/faded/favourite bibs with this baggie.

bought a pair almost 2 years ago and hands down my favorite baggy as well...

Wear them almost every MTB ride and still going strong. lasting waaaay longer than expected.

Light, very comfy and well priced...winning!

Baggies are for skater boys

aaand lycra for male ballerinas   I don't know what male is for ballerina. Ballerista? Ball-exhibitionist?

Jokes. I get why - but not a fan and they just don't look right on my skateboard - er, em with flat pedals and sneakers

I make my own...

Made a pattern, added some fitment frills, blocked it onto cardboard and voila!

Plenty fabric shops with rad fabric and I can make 2 or 3 pairs at once. If I'm lazy the local CMT will make me 3 pairs for 400 bucks ish if I provide the fabric, zips etc.

Otherwise I ride in old stretchy adidas golf shorts....

I dig that vibe, but will pass - I'll end up with chainmail

It's fun. I have added things like waterproof panels in the back for winter so your butt crack doesn't get soggy from tire spray.

I have worn out my last batch. Might be time to get a few more going soon.

The Lab used to stock Endura - which are awesome. But they only stock the outer half for some stupid reason which is therfore pointless.

Good baggies are brilliant - especially if its wet and muddy (keeps your chamois clean and the mud out), or hot (no bib to overheat you), or you're planning on riding in the bush (thorns, etc..), or you might fall off (harder to tear). And the aerodynamics of bibs at 15kph isn't helping you much.

I will snap some when I get home from work.

Pretty fun project.

I did study fashion design and have an overlocker, sewing machine etc all at home which does make things a bit easier.

Looking forward to making clothes for the little man we are expecting next month!

Winning. Every man should know how to use a sewing machine. So bloody useful! Want new curtains / fit your old curtains to a new window? Done. Want to take in / let out some clothes? Done. Projects, cushion covers, proper duvet covers with a decent threadcount that doesn't break the bank? Done.
