ChrisF Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 I had gotten over it, but last week a childhood friend who is a Dr in a gov hospital was nearly ventilated(healthy 26year old), she is still on oxygen and dexa so ya it erked me again with people being dumb. Will walk away from the hub and other social media for a few weeks and get over it again though so you don't have to worry. Dave for better of worse your voice IS needed to balance some of the flippant behaviour spouted on the Hub .... It is NOT about some "soapbox". We have a national state of emergency, an official lockdown on holiday travel. And yet the cool kids carry on like there is no risk. Dave your input IS essential to keep some sort of balanced input. One colleague passed away. So believe me when I say I feel that pain.on the other side of that coin a chum of mine spent three days in hospital undergoing covid and other tests. Turns out he's developed asthma. Doc is attributing it to a number of issues including using a mask when out training and all day in his work environment. He's a little over weight and hasn't been watching his diet and work stress. It triggers when he's trying to ride up hills and be socially responsible. As the doc explained, it's not for everyone. The fitter you are the more resilient your body is too these stresses. Breathing in dirt and sweat is affecting people differently, especially those who haven't been wearing that sort of ppe for years. Remember many people are only exercising for an hour per day when it's convenient for them. Not everyone has been able to adapt. If you just keep in mind that we're all different and that this pandemic is affecting us all in different ways then you may find it easier to be a little more relaxed, patient and tolerant. Fortunately this is a relatively safe place on a Monday We should all know our bodies and when it's saying hey that's a little too far. ChrisF and LazyTrailRider 2

I got majority of my friends sending me messages saying all cyclists are morons and arrogant bastards. You guys are one of the biggest reasons cycling is getting a rep for being terrible right now. I mean, I still remember the mob attack last time I spoke up about some rider behaviour on public roads .... No way I will ride in a group of friends currently, but I just realised that I dont know of any - whereas I would have expected to hear more rumours about such suspicions by now?
