I saw them live. What a band!!

Noted for the next ramp test. LP Live in Texas.

RIP Chester.

Finally I know who my true peeps are on here!

That show was Amazing live! I was so happy that I saw them when they came here.

PS. If you like LP, watch Muse HAARP Live at Wembley, from the start and stick with it for at least 3 songs. Best freaking Musician that Matt Bellamy. He is insanely talented.

i liked LP in high school when they came out and brought something new to the scene. They lost the plot after Meteora for me personally. But thats cool too....they served their purpose in my scheme of things as just one of the many gateway bands to harder metal lol

they still make for good workout music though...

PS: also saw them live. Ive seen muse live too.

The mind is such a strange thing.

I did a ramp test yesterday morning early before work. It must have taken a bit out of me. My plan was to do a 2 hour session last night but when I got on the bike the thought of doing 2 hours made me stop just 10 minutes in.

And then weirdly I was able to finish (with some difficulty) my scheduled 1.10 workout.

To the unitiated hard metal sounds pretty conservative musically. Very structured and quite uniform in emotional tone.

I would say it might be a stepping stone to something more adventurous like .... Shostakovich.

Can't find any emoticons on my phone or the font selector.

yep...

futile though lol...try and explain to said 'uninitiated' that the metal pioneers all drew influence from the harder and darker classical compositions of the Bachs/Beethovens etc. People are too caught up in stereotypes to even try though. Most metal music is influenced by classical music in one way or another....more than any other genre.

Damn Morne I thought I was trolling a big debate there.

At the risk of being moderator censure for OT posting -

About Shostakovich - he had his music (specifically an Opera) denounced by Stalin which would mean that he was headed to the gulag - a fate he escaped only through blind luck yet continued to make music that threatened the tyrannical power of his life's context.

One thing for rock music or protest folk or rap to make social commentary or in constitutional democracies where rights to speech and religion and opinion are enshrined, another to be an artist in a dictatorial and closed society.

Question. Can you run on the pavement outside your property? NO

Can you run on the pavement if you live in a complex? NO

Can you run in your complex? NO (I have too many old farts who complain if we dare run or even use an indoor trainer as it makes too much noise ~ sad old folks).

I live on the corner of a block

When I run around my house I don't run on the pavement, I run in the street!! For a whole 50 meters! On the wrong side to gain a few extra meters!

I'm just hardcore like that. A rebel to the bone...

Living dangerously!!

I haven't been out my house for 9 days now - except to put the dustbin out and bring it back in again. This made me smile.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the words. And then all the different methods they (LP) have used over the years. And then listen to some of Chester's normal singing...

But yes, it's actually music. Good music...

There are no words - it is just this screaming mass hysteria zombie coronavirus chasing me stuff.

But as Chewie says, never question another persons choice is music ... now where is that Clayderman tape.

I dare you to record it on Strava and take a selfie and put in on your Neighborhood FB page.
