shes up shortly. Heat 1 repercharge is about to start but she's not in that race

Out sadly. Finished last in her heat. She missed the winners wheel coming past and that was her ticket to the final.

Italy: 3:42.032    (New World Record)
Denmark: 3:42.198

After 1000m: Italy ahead by 0.220
After 2000m: Italy ahead by 0.142
After 3000m: Denmark ahead by 0.867
After 4000m: Italy ahead by 0.166

That doesn't even tell the story of the last 1000m, where Denmark lead by about 0.5s with 3 laps to go, only to have Italy bring that down, lap by lap, to take it on the last.

That was an amazing race! Rollercoaster ride of note. Italians with gold and the world record. I really enjoyed that (the result not so much ????

Those untreated shin injuries must have slowed your guys down.

Rochelle Gilmore .. ex roadie and ex owner of that Wiggle High 5 team. Yeah she was also at Rio and really out of her depth at the mtb events, not sure about track. But Gerald is relatively informed, certainly mtb and road.

With Carlton on Eurosport is Jo Rowsell, part of the meal winning Team GB previously, she is great.

Carlton is your typical Mr Know It All, irritates the tits off me, But who am I 2 complain,

I think GdK is pretty decent, way better than the dude who did the road race

well lately Gerald has allowed himself to get excited by the racing which does add an extra dimension

Jean Spies didnt make the qualifying round today (4 Aug) in the 200m track sprint.

Jean Spies- 9.787

SA record- 9.786

The best qualifying time was 9.21... Im not sure what time he should have had to go to the heat rounds but he missed the last guy that qualified with 0.082s

The 200m is possibly one of the hardest events to compete in. Its takes a lot of time on the bike as well as the gym.

Jean is one of the best track sprinters. He made us proud!
