I’ve been blocking numbers for a while now, and really isn’t a problem to keep doing so.

The trick is to actually answer the call, then hang up. Then block it

The automated services are designed to repeat call (every few days) until the system recognizes an answered call, then it assumes its delivered its message to you and removes your number from the dialing list

I rode Berg n Bush one year where the mud was super crazy. Day 1 my chain eventually wouldn't stay on the chain ring. Day 2 my front wheel eventually wouldn't turn and later my RD wouldn't shift anymore either (SRAM GX). I had huge fun. The bike didn't seem to suffer too much either though the paint did get chewed off the inside of the chainstays. Many years later I am still using that bike. But mostly I stay away from mud rides nowadays.
