DJR Posted January 23, 2022 Share Well, I had a late night, so got the Trance going a lot too late this morning. The heat, the heat, the horror. My first smile came when I saw this young growth of green herbs on the lower slopes. My grandfather used to feed it to his working horses before they did a long or hard ride and from what he said, it improved their endurance and certainly made them much easier to work with. ........... Which made me wonder about my own sweaty and breathless attempts to ride up Devils Peak on a day like today. Perhaps a iced herbal tea in my bottle would have made me care less about the pain and the suffering? In a trance, on a Trance, up the mountain!?
