Aaa ek sien jy is nog hier in my valley?

Hi BSG, yes ended up in Outeniqua strand. This is going to take a while [emoji2357] - Hope I make it home before 2021...

In the meantime, I can think about worse places to be stuck during this time. Very safe here in terms of the virus as well. Still many local riders to meet [emoji6]

Yes I saw a few at De Dekke Spar this morning. I just couldn't get myself to cycle yet, so bloody lazy. [emoji468][emoji2957]

Are those tracks being used, or growing over?

Pretty well maintained as guests use it for walks in the forest. It’s a working dairy farm but has pretty upmarket accommodation. Comes at a price but it’s also on the 7 passes road which means tons of options. Even has a little pump track. Oh and it’s in an indigenous forest.

how did your times compare on the climb?

HA...not so good!

My road bike time was 24:32 for the 2.9 km.... currently lying 9th out of 12

TBH the 34-32 gearing was hard for me.... i like to spin not grind, a 34 would have been better  :whistling:

Fastest road bike time so far is 12:58

Competition runs until 14 June and I still aim to do the MTB and run version...

Are you up near Hoekwil? Jake Crowthers place?

Yesterday was MTB day. A mate of mine showed me a newly built trail I hadn't ridden yet.

Unfortunately we had to cut our ride short as he got a flat and had to push further.

I'm really fortunate with where I live and how much of our local trail network falls into my 5km radius. 96a8f9adada0d5fc641a5780987253d8.jpg0b00149ff28ef4ac2e201bcb28f72ccb.jpgd7bedff0faf8d3684df96961623f8ae3.jpg7ff79d2d715f1321f0f678a11f089e18.jpgf1a81bc47a9368e80f8b6046a130b133.jpg4f989463d2b7aae78138c32bc4f4f52c.jpg

And today was roadie Sunday.

We managed to do a proper 37km ride with 430m of climbing within our 5km radius.

I realised once again today I don't have climbing legs anymore, or it might be the extra 15kg's I have to haul around my waist.....[emoji848]777968c7ffc415c09b706d21331bdb58.jpg9cdf645edb02040f6795583f51e41902.jpg6de5e01eb6fd12e897120f5b943c47d4.jpgd06262899e7676e797271a157b45d60c.jpgcbd35e167307f3c4396f6ab52a64e96a.jpg85cca4a5c9134cbe44149a45fe28f54c.jpg
