Thanx @ouzo

Was hoping for recovery without surgery.

It’s fairly straightforward reconstructive surgery with 8 weeks or so off the tar and trails

All the best, 8 weeks without those awesome shots is a long time. We'll be waiting.

It’s been a very cold and windy week, with more to come apparently [emoji52] so something about a pretzel in Watopia was the order of the day (with a few extra km added on)... it was quite nasty I have to say.

Country roads, take me home; to a place, I belong... Mpumalanga.

Had this song stuck in my head about 50km into the ride, after someone said ‘“these country roads”.

Edit: there was a view that I saw, while bombing down a hill at 60+:

Cloud line on the horizon, sun rays piercing through and lighting up some of the rolling hills between Nigel and Heidelberg. Would have made a good landscape shot had I not been on the bike (and having cars whizz by).

Street art tour of Saltriver and Woodstock

Some VERY cool art all over that neighborhood - and forever changing with new works going up all the time.
