Left home with Garmin showing 20% battery life. Decided if it dies it dies, I’ll add the remainder in manually.
about 8km in it went from 20% to 1%.
stayed on 1% until km 45. 10km from home. What you see here is what it recorded.

Also picked up a puncture on the front wheel early on. This one is still tubeless but I haven’t topped up in a while. Decided I’m going to ride until it’s flat and then sort it out. Was no need to, it took many km but it eventually sealed and I did not lose to much pressure.

Anyone else doing the challenge?

Mostly solo effort this year. Time for contemplation, freedom from distraction and some good podcasts. I highly recommend solitude time.

Two days of family time now and then a final 5 hr to Franschoek on Friday. My son’s birthday is on the 31st; a holy day, no bicycles. 🎈

I started off well and then woke up with flu this morning.

Definitely a sign to go fishing and rest for the remainder of the year.

Yip back on it post lockdown after a 2-3 year break, approx 470km in today.
Normally do solo rides as it is, so I’m enjoying the change of larger group rides and the bonds formed.
Best of celebrations Dale!

I had thoughts of doing it, but ill health has seen me easing back into training instead of going all out. Usually December is my biggest month, this year its looking to be my least active month.
