Went for my evening pedal around the neighbourhood, and saw the pavement florist packing up for the day. Forgot that I'd asked him to get me some king proteas a day earlier. They were a little unwieldy to ride home with...

I have a training ride from home (Weltevreden Park) over to Northcliff and up to the water tower in the Eco Park that I try and do every weekday.

It's not a bad workout for a fairly short ride and it's through some very pleasant areas.

I haven't tried to capture the steepness of any of the climbs because as we all know, cameras are happy to add weight and grey hairs but they take away steepness of hills the same way videos take away the danger of any descent you try and film :-)

Hearn Drive looks truly beautiful this time of year, with the jacarandas flowering

It certainly is. The whole ride is very pretty and smells nice!

and a few more . . . (the last one isn't mine)

Cool pics, I know those roads well. They are nasty!!

As you say, photos never do the gradient justice.

Had a sweet ride at Muratie yesterday. The trails are looking really good and we had alot more fun than expected! The bush tunnel was epic. Especially when you're pinning it!

None of my usual riding buddy's pitched so I went for a solo ride and decided to go big(ish).Rode to Villiersdorp and back on a backroad.post-54774-1445228893,2744.jpgA broken seatpostclamp bolt saw me struggling with keeping the seat up on the way bac and I ended up with very sore knee's.[emoji20]

Steilte Trails, for a shuttle day.

This is me trying to get comfortable with jumps that are not tabled. After a nasty off and concussion a few years back, I've had a firm dose of the "Nopes" on any jump / drop that isn't a roller or table.

This was the first attempt. Not a big one, I'll admit, but it's a step in the right direction.

By the end of the day, I was landing just in the shaded section there, which is about 7 or 8 metres.
