Afternoon ride at Meerendal.

Nice sun shine, and a slight Northernly wind ....

At the top of the first hill we noted a rainbow to the South-East, good, the rain has passed us and we can have a nice ride in the sun.

Okay ... so Maritz's first time to do the Mineshaft .... slow and steady .... WOW !!

Stairway to Heaven was just a tad to much for him.  So we walked the shortcut.

Next we did Burry Stander.  This is when we noted the rainbow is significantly closer to Meerendal !  But still we are riding in the sun ....

At the bottom of Burry Stander we were drinking water when the rain started ....

Properly drenched by the time we got to the car .... WOW ! what a view !!!  Sun shining on us, while riding in the rain, and seeing the rainbow in front of us in the single track....

With an office and house full of only women, this is the reason I cycle. Silence...

No better place for solitude than along the Skeleton Coast

I have a house full of boys that is currently overrun by students that keep very odd hours, raid my food, disturb my sleep, mess up my plans, use my car ...... that's why I ride!   (Must admit, life is never boring)

So that's where the Skeleton Coast is?

Here's me dopping a Skeleton Coast IPA on occasion, and I had no idea where the Skeleton Coast is.

Love cruising through the neighbourhood at night! Just a different feeling compared to riding in the daylight.

I even do some hill repeats in my area from time-to-time after work/or if had a hectic day and did want to wake up early.

Not so much where, rather than when. Been doing these short, late night rides around the neighborhood due to work and other commitments, nice and quiet on the roads, lekker time to be alone with my thoughts!
