NEE ... met sulke vriende soos jy .... 😛

Here I am still grappling with the ethics of chipping my bike for the sole purpose of being able to tow @Mamil at 50km/h .....

My 2c because everyone is entitled to an opinion regardless of how wrong it is.

Dropping back to work WITH your mate(s) (regardless of gender), no worries, have at it.

Dropping back to work FOR your mate(s), cool, no worries, rising tides lifts all boats, everyone in the area can hang cable, cool.

Dropping back to work FOR your mate and pushing or towing them up a hill, far more grey, happens all the time, massive fallout in the US gravel scene ended badly. I am very much against this.

Dropping back to tow your mates on your de-restricted eBike, umm, no, the lot of you should go play golf and stop sullying our sport, I have to deal with enough awkward doping conversations as it is.

Also knowing full well that I dropped back to work FOR and PUSH a mate who was TOWING a buggy, it even gives me an irony headache.

Now THAT is something to fall back for, and most certainly a valid reason to pitch in and help.

RESPECT to these towers.  And thanks to all the helpers.

The joy they bring to those FAMILIES, not just the kid in the buggy.  Absolute heros !

I saw him out there, hats off to him and well done 👌🏻

there alot of people in this race that deserve much respect for what they do.

whilst I was struggling up chappies, a gent on an old peugot came past with no saddle. Its was stuffed in back pocket, must have broken off. That could not have been easy either.

Amazing! 👏 Now that's a winner.

But the real question is, who the heck is riding in his draft and not giving him some help?! 😜

I thought of this perspective a well and said to self, "ah it levels out" but then I was watching Casino Royale and a different perspective hit me...

anyone can walk into a casino and play black jack, or poker or whatever gambling gam is on offer. Those people naturally gravitate to a table were there is no obvious winner. They perceive equal opportunity. Now someone walks into the casino with a card counter person and starts cleaning up. Not equal opportunity in that scenario.

person turns up at a bike race and throws her lot in with the riders present, takes her chances rides her race, drafts other men and women.

another person turn ups at a similar bike race with a dedicated pacer (aka card counter) and cleans up,..... not equal opportunity.

hmmmmm😒

Sorry, not at all like counting cards at a casino. Every single race contains a huge majority of people who absolutely refuse to do any work at the front, probably because they are unable to. You're unfairly picking out this one female rider. Any one of the 300 people in that batch had the chance to hang on the their wheel.

did the other riders chose their card counter? or just play at the same table ?

Seems they are still sorting, but at least this is happy start for your friend

or got to action photo, choose CTCT and put in your friends bib number.

New photos are popping up regularly, so they are still sorting and identifying.

I just hate the small ultra low quality preview they give you, I can make out enough details to decide if I want the pics or not.

(only reason I'll buy pics this year is because its my 21st one)
