Hey, I wasn’t some wannabe street fighter. I was a solid amateur welterweight with several titles under my belt... lol.

I agree, it was a bit silly from the amateur.

Seen some strange rider behaviour out on the roads, leading up the World Champs of fun rides .... sure to get even more fun in the last few weeks.

Pass someone with a decent speed difference ... some distance later you notice he is half wheeling you ...  NEARLY came down that time !!  Actually impacted my Winelands event ... I was super alert of any rider in my slip !

Choose your passing moves ...

Make sure it is safe to move over for the passing move ...

Make SURE what the rider behind you is up to .... some have ZWIFT legs and zero race-craft ....

I'm a huge Ving fan - I like that he's quiet and somewhat shy, strikes me as an extreme introvert. When he waited for pog on that TdF stage a couple of years back it impressed me a lot, I doubt he was dicing this amateur - more likely he just wanted to be left alone and crashed because he was anxiously trying to get away.

The rider I fanboy about is Mohoric - strikes me as a genuine guy.

Well the amateur rider did upload this photo to his ride on strava:

So I'd imagine if jonas had just slowed down he would have done the same to get some better photos. That's speculation of course. But to assume Jonas could have just pulled the brakes to let him go past might be a bit like assuming a famous actor could just slow down and let the paparazzi drive away. Then he posts a self-righteous rant, most likely because he actually feels bad about it and is being defensive, or because he wants people to know he handled a descent better than a TDF winner.

I'd find it annoying if i was out training.

In fact its the main reason I didn't go pro.
