Have been doing this for two years now.

If you choose one of these Nokia R250 models the battery last forever, call are cheap, mobile companies doesn't steal your airtime (convert airtime to data) and airtime does not expire (you have to use some of the airtime at least once a month).

Allows Garmin connect to send live track, gives access to Uber if a mechanical means I need one, can whatsapp and I have my discovery Banking on it which is a card I have simply for the vitality stuff so that if I'm in a situation where stuff is being demanded of me, I can give them a few zars without giving them access to my bond, business and savings accounts.

It's a decent enough phone too... Very slow to boot but bluetooths my Spotify to the open run pros too.

On your device: Someone could steal your phone and access your account

A lost or stolen phone can become a nightmare. But it’s especially harrowing if you’re a mobile banking user.

Most people save account passwords on their phones or even stay logged into services like their email accounts. If scammers steal your phone, they can bypass all of your banking app’s security features.

A scammer could request a new password for your bank app (and access it through your email) and then bypass the protection of your multi-factor authentication code (MFA) when it’s sent to your phone.

This scam is even easier for criminals to execute if you save your passwords in your mobile browser (or notepad), don’t lock your phone, and don’t use biometric security like fingerprint ID.

Ultimately, application security doesn’t mean much if you get scammed or your phone gets stolen.

Hmm, interesting.

Thats me for Gmail yes, using Samsung. I have now installed an app lock which requires biometrics, also locked other social media apps and settings apps even though biometrics is required when logging into password safe

Doing a few raids is a temp solution.

The people who are living on the side of the trail need to relocated and housed elsewhere and then the access to the lanes need to be secured. Problem here is that they are living on SANRAIL property and CoCT can not actively do anything about it, and national Gov. does not really give a dam.

If they are able to clear away they are still stuck with the issue that there is very little visibility on the lanes and users of the lanes, so people are at risk of muggers. Continuous patrolling will help, but that carries a cost factor which can be better invested in high crime neighbourhoods in the Cape Flats, etc where people desperately need security.

Long term solution is to relocate the lane to run parallel to the N1 and where there is a high level of visibility. That too carries complications with Gov. Roads, but this can be resolved.
