  1. You say you have the new SID? Pretty sure the new SID has 35mm stanchions as well....
  2. Go ride the Wolwespruit flow trail, I think you will see that they know what they are doing.... I have been eyeing a line down one of the hills there recently wondering if they will make some kind of flow/jump line down it, will post pictures next time I go ride there and see if any of you guys agree that it looks like it could be something fun
  3. This makes me think of a picture my buddy sent me....
  4. We will be going to check the tracks out maybe on the 31st or the weekend after, will let you know closer to the time
  5. Slowly getting stronger and faster....
  6. Big morning for me...
  7. If the stock wheels are anywhere as heavy as my stock wheels, you are looking at savings of roughly 700grams, however, for your wife's bike I would say maybe look at the PULSE wheels instead, and there you could be saving close to 1kg of weight
  8. I am pretty sure they put a stronger spring behind each ratchet for those exact reasons, a friend of mine has the 54T ratchet in his 350 hubs, they are pretty loud, but it is a good sound
  9. Seems rims are available separately at R5899 each
  10. Was super stoked when I got that mail this morning, then I went and had a look at the pricing etc, flippen awesome pricing and no doubt they will be great wheels, but just can't help but wonder if the R3k extra for South Industries wheels, that come with a lifetime crash replacement warranty, and laced to DT Swiss hubs is not maybe a better investment? Lots and LOTS of pondering for me to do in the next month or 2....
  11. At that price your best bet is Leatt
  12. I like both quite and louder hubs, obnoxiously loud hubs are tedious though, it's only fun for so long, then it just becomes draining and distracting
  13. Tried some DH riding at Iron Throne today, I feared for my life, man did I under estimate what those guys do, but it was super fun, will definitely go do it again
  14. Yoann Barreli disagrees
  15. Pretty sure the OP will be happy you saved him like R4k for the same product
  16. Thinking about this setup for my bike, probably a bit overkill, but rather safe than sorry...
  17. I think a large part of Lewis being faster in that test was because of knowing the track better and better every run, and also following Danny Hart on that last run could have made a difference, pretty sure even Lewis said he thinks he was trying harder to keep with Danny on the last run, and then on top of that, if I remember correctly, it was his cleanest run in terms of traffic, even if people get out the way really quickly, it will slow you down having traffic
  18. Getting there, slowly...
  19. Look more like burn-out marks than skid marks to me
  20. Had a nice spin with my nephews at Modderfontien today, really proud of how well they did
  21. Late afternoon at Wolwespruit
  22. Agreed, you do get them, but at what cost? I will be honest, I haven't been into a bike shop in well over a year, just went online to one of the decent online stores, seems their prices have come down actually, I might "need" some new gloves ????
