some new bottle cages and handlebar tape for my project bike, stripped the paint...loving the new look, now I think some deep sections to complete the look

Nice tape, where did you get?

Does that foam replace the sealent?

No. It helps protect against rim strikes and tyre roll when you run your tyre pressures at the levels that give you the most amount of grip. Also helps with tire seating by pushing the sidewalls out a bit, and helps prevent snakebite punctures (yes, you can still get those when running tjoopless)

I've found that at the pressure I like to run, my rear tyre rolls in the corners and I tend to have rim strikes, which can be pretty damaging to rim and tyre.

Thats pretty rad. I saw them at the lbs. Seems like a good plan as I have the same problems. Will get some in the future.

R395 per tyre.

R350

The normal thickness one is R 350 per tyre. I got the DD (double density) version cos I'm a fatbastard.

Others have had success with cut up pool noodles wrapped in fibrous tape to lend it more strength, and I was going to do that until I saw they (Stoke) had the DD version on the shelf. I could have bought a pool noodle, a roll of gaffa tape and some extra time to cut out holes for the sealant to flow freely, get the pool noodle the right thickness, width and length then wrap it and install it but by then I'm already more than R 395 down in material and time with the fam. And you have a pool noodle in your tyre... :P
