Was in Worcester today for the SPUR Schools League .... Maritz finished early so popped over to King Cycles. Second time I am in their shop, second time they bowl me over with EXCELLENT service !! NO, they did not "match" the Bike Addict price ... beat it down by another R1k, without me asking .....

 

They looked at my Trek and asked if they could transfer the bottle holder, garmin mount, toolbag-bracket, pump .... then even gave the Trek one final wash and lube before handing it back ! [emoji106]

Trek Fuel EX 5, with new wheels (rims), and an Eagle GX gearset will be on sale soon ... to somebody shorter than 1,72m .....

I got a new toy a while back but haven't had a chance to share it yet.

 

Lapierre Xelius SL Frameset built up with Shimano Ultegra R8000 groupset and Campy Eurus wheelset for training and Enve wheelset for race day.

 

No bike I have ever owned has ridden as well as this. It climbs like nothing else!

We've got 9 days in Majorca to do Sa calobrs, Col de Soller and a few others and 2 nights in Paris on the way back to do some touristing. We're super amped for the trip. Never done Spain and we want to get out of Hout Bay over the December Mayhem.

Sold it, was just a tiny bit too big and 90% of the time it was awesome but in more tech and rocky areas then the stand over became an issue. Look, I could have lived with it but it would have been like that squeak you can't find and fix. In the end it would have been an issue that would have spoilt the whole scenario. Heck of a bike thou, will miss it lots.
