Agreed, biodegradable, good for the veld. Unless it's in a nature reserve where things are a bit more strict.

at the RECM 200 in knysna recently, we were told banana peels are not biodegradable.

I personally feel that you should throw nothing on the ground when you are out riding, why leave something foreign lying around for others to look at when you can just take it home. If you must eat a banana, just stick the peel under a rock

What a weird thing, I would have thought that all natural waste would have been acceptable. Looks like I'm going to land up with a few banana peels in my laundry?

What about the little blighters living under the rock. I'm sure they'd disagree with the thought of cohabiting with your waste for two years.
