Shocking incident between van driver and cyclists in Camps Bay

The incident that took place on Sunday has really increased an already tense situation between cyclist and motorist.

Me and my Boys went for a cycle late yesterday aftern in and around the Rondebosch area. Almost every motorist and passing pedestrians look at us as if we "mobs". We could even sense some fear in their eyes (lol)...as if, "Hey stay away from those cyclist before we get a beating"

 

Quite strange that you mention this. Yesterday for the first time in months, I went for a ride and it was absolutely incident free, no taxis tried to run me over, motorist passed at the required 1m gap, even got some motorist making casual conversation. I hope this was merely coincidence and not due to fear of us being 'mobsters'

Not really.. there's no convenient coloured gangster stereotype to lash onto. Even though this video shows something much more serious happening... it's happening to a clearly dark brown/black man and the people attacking him are "higher up" in colour/race. Ain't gonna be no outrage.

Huh??????? How do you get that?? You do know that Helen Zille hid black activists in her home at the height of apartheid and is the journalist who dug up the truth about Steven Biko, placing her in serious danger at the time. Why would she now be pro thuggery????

The DA promised to improve Cape Town when the ANC faltered and failed to deliver. I can't believe that 20 years after democracy we still have 80's style thugs dressed as cops in Cape Town. That right there in that video is the type of thing the DA promised to fix.

The son of the lady that works in my house was beaten to death by black (important because race played no role in the incident) policemen last year. What does either incident prove except that we as a nation is way to quick to resort to violence (as the original topic of this thread proves). Thuggery happens no matter who is in charge.
