It's pricey to be sure. More than rouvy .... But indomlove zwift. I import my structured training into it and also love the races which have got better bd better as they've sorted out the pack dynamics algorithm.

I'll stay but it hurts. Looks like a shade over 4k a year

Hurts to say .... but I will most probably stay as well .... then again, I only subscribe during winter.

For my use, I really aught to invest the time and try out the alternatives .....

Curious to see what the landed price of the Zwift Ride will be in ZA - $1299 in the US, im imagining R26-28k @Ikhambi Distribution ?

(Assuming that it will be brought in through Wahoo channels given that a core comes in the package deal)

I’m guessing round about R35k. Let’s see how far off the mark i’ll be.

Interesting how indoor trainers have gone full circle. Their major selling point initially was that you could put any of your bikes on them and use your full gearing range, now they're back to a dedicated bike with a single speed controlled by software. The more things change, the more they stay the same 😄

Got hold of a Zwift Click yesterday, Makes a big difference as I'm using the MTB (30t chainring) on the trainer. I've regularly run out of gears when racing and get dropped as soon as the group presses on a bit. The virtual gearing will solve this problem

@thebob How did you get hold of one?  I fiddle with the "trainer difficulty" setting to "set" the gears for a ride.  That's fine for a casual ride but doesn't work well for a race.

One ponders when Wahoo wont extract this tech from the kickr bike to be sold separately as its own controller, its open and works on all indoor apps.

The virtual gear changing control mechanism only seems to work with Zwift if you buy the Zwift Play/Click/Ride.

Yeah, a better choice would be something that doesn't limit me/us to Zwift.

Apparently it is an open protocol that will be made available to other platforms to use in future. I'm only on Zwift, so not an issue for me

David from Intervals.icu posted, today, about a training site he’s integrating with, called Biketerra. It integrates with your Intervals calendar, which means any workout for today and a few days in the future will show up. It is also web-based, so no download or special device required.

it has a free version, as well as a $5 early bird option that allows your own custom routes.

i’m doing today’s workout now, as I type… on a climb near Nice.
