I must admit, it did look like MacGregor was throwing powder puffs!

There is one or two moments in that video where you think to yourself "WTF, moer him" and he doesn't.

But to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some fixing. Floyd would give some cash away to ensure his 50-0. Mr "I was broke 4 years ago" who has lost before, doesnt have much to lose by losing in a fight he was expected to lose and making an extra $50m.

Jimmy Abbott, a very ardent Lions rugby supporter also. Had his seat reserved for him, front row on the middle line, two seats empty both sides of the two seats he occupied (at once) :D

I still look for him whenever the lions are playing at home..... the TV cameras have not shown him for awhile!! Perhaps he threatened to sit on them if they showed him again...

LOL, that's not pulling punches, that's an underprepped fighter gassing and battling to hit his target. Mcgregor hit a WALL in the 6th round, after that he could barely keep his gloves up. It was embarrassing (but entertaining) watching him get get beaten like a red-headed stepchild...

The lines are certainly blurred with it being both a joint business venture between the two and a sporting fight. When the money is that big it's not hard to imagine the fight coming second.

I didnt know where I said I knew anything about the sport, on the contrary, I specifically said I know little about it and all I wanted was for the loud mouthy guy to knee the guy who beats his wife in the ribs. Thats is allowed isn't it?

But it seems this thread has turned into fans tuning other fans with neither side being able to appreciate the others positions..... so I'm just playing along.

Give yourself some credit Patch... you definitely the biggest box here  :whistling:  :P

Ha, Ha, yah, the 80's made me think of Jimmy Abbot, Kallie Knoetze, Gerrie Coetzee, Korrie Sanders and there must have been a few others.

Jimmy Abbot was an enigma, he must have weighed 180kgs, very little of it pure muscle and he could barely walk never mind bob around the ring, how he survived is beyond me, but he had a strong following, boxing was big in those days.

The last thing I saw on Jimmy Abbot was he had lost 200kgs and was working as an evangelist of sorts... I suppose a google search will fill in the gaps

I never knew that, I know his brothers got into some trouble with the law and Jimmy fell on some hard times but I didn't know that.

To be honest I thought he was a chuckle, he was a product of the times, nothing more nothing less.
