Grease_Monkey Posted March 8, 2018 Share I'm loving the vibe here this week. Two days ago I got to climb a short section of Saaltjie with 2 swedish rides and today got to show a Frenchman and a Belgian G-spot. Not that I knew who they were haha, but still pretty cool. Also went to go watch the pros practice on Tuesday, very cool to see how they plan their lines. They really are next level skilled!! Oh... and Emily Batty is even more flattering in person haha Edited March 8, 2018 by Grease_Monkey Sniffie, Wannabe, BikeisLife and 1 other

Oh no, my comment wasn't about her age, it was about the fact that it's awkward for a 32 year old man to be acting like a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert mitsu and matthieup

Cookie88 Posted March 9, 2018 Share Question, what is the Elevation Gain of the course over the 4.4km? And how quickly are the Pro's expected to smash out a lap?
Headshot Posted March 9, 2018 Share Question, what is the Elevation Gain of the course over the 4.4km? And how quickly are the Pro's expected to smash out a lap? They say 180 m per lap. Should be around 15min a lap for the top men and 6 laps - maybe a bit more. Race usually lasts about 1h30 or so. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/course-preview-stellenbosch-world-cup-xco-2018.html Edited March 9, 2018 by Headshot Cookie88
mrcg Posted March 9, 2018 Share yr.no has 1.5mm predicted. but windguru has none, yesterday was 3mm predicted. hopeful much! Will stick my head out and say my predictions show ZERO rain. Pity. A small sprinkling would've made course more grippy and less dusty. But I think organisers will wet it a bit with their allocation of non-potable water... If it does rain earlier than that, then it would be drizzle or even lighter.Damn, just looked at the forecast maps, Mr Hi making crap again for the rain!!
